She...My daughter is 7, and just hit the 40lbs mark. She is tall and has been in a booster for a couple years. You have to use common sense. She outgrew the 5 point and had to go to a booster. When your child outgrows the 5 point, it's not safe anymore. Keep your child in the 5 point as long as you can. You can even use a booster with back with the latch system, for smaller kids that have outgrown the full seat, until they are ready for the backless booster. Safety over convenience and you have to think smart. My 5 year old could technically be in a booster (meets height/weight/maturity), but she's tall and thin and could easily slip out in an accident.<br /><br />On another note, I agree that seat belts are designed for adults, but I am an adult who is only 60"...so, what, should I be in a booster, too?!
